About the role
You will join the squad building Verbelle and Studyloom, our first student-facing products. You will pair with senior engineers, pick up well-scoped tickets from day one and grow into owning whole features. We care more about curiosity and craft than years on a CV.
What you'll do
- Build responsive, accessible UI components from Figma designs
- Write clean, typed JavaScript/TypeScript with unit tests
- Fix bugs and improve performance across our web apps
- Take part in code reviews, stand-ups and product demos
- Help maintain our shared design system and documentation
What we're looking for
- Solid fundamentals in HTML, CSS and modern JavaScript
- Some experience with a component framework (React, Vue or Svelte)
- A portfolio, GitHub profile or projects you can walk us through
- Comfort using Git and working in a team codebase
- Clear written communication and willingness to ask questions
Nice to have
- TypeScript experience
- An eye for typography, spacing and motion
- Familiarity with WCAG accessibility guidelines
